Perfect Lines

I think this has been done before, heck I think I've posted in threads like this. Can't find any threads, so I'll start a new one.

ONE RULE: Only one line.

Heres mine:

Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

Bob Seger. Against the Wind.

Its a simple line, no big words. However, it is perfect. You'd be more likely to see it in a poem than a rock song.

Whatchy'all got?

I can see two little pictures of me, one in each of your eyes.

Can't remember who wrote it - female singer, late eighties?

Along the same lines:

Cool thread!

Isn't that Stills lyric profoundly depressing? It is to me anyway.

Yeah, that'll do, just got force myself to feel a certain way since my life didn't go the way I planned.

Am I wrong?

Amy Mann:

I wish you: belief in life
Belief in fate
Belief you are lucky
And worth the wait
'cause life could be lovely
Or life could be f**king great.

And Peter Gabriel:

My heart going boom, boom, boom,
"Hey", I said, "You can keep my things they've come to take me home"

Eh, sorry, I didn't see the "one line" stipulation.

Now the years are rolling by me
They are rockin' evenly
I am older than I once was
And younger than I'll be and that's not unusual.
No it isn't strange

We are more or less the same
After changes we are more or less the same
Paul Simon from "The Boxer" (called the missing verse, because it's not on the original recording, but he sings it live ...)
