New John Mayer track "Queen of California"
New John Mayer..."Queen of California"...this new CD "Born & Raised" is going to be huge.
Solo is very Allman Bros...I only wish the outro jam would have been a bit "more" |

I can't listen to his singing long enough to appreciate his guitar playing, that's always been how it is for me and Mayer. He sounds like he's trying to eat his tongue or something when he sings. I've never been certain if the air is coming through his throat or his nose, but I know whicever it is alters the timbre of it to be so breathy and lacking any tonal qualities it leaves me cold.
Then there's the tongue thing. I've given him a try because I wanted to like him, but it just never happens. |
