Covers you like better than the original...

The brothers Gibb with a shot of testosterone.

I think this was one of the first songs the Guess Who ever released (as a single, before they became well known)

In fact, I thought this WAS the original for many years.

these are good too:

Linda covering Orbison:

as much as i like Simon & Garfunkel, the Bangles version tops the original:

The original by Pere Ubu is awesome...

...but I think Peter Murphy's version is awesomer.

If you wish to compare...

Hendrix's 'All Along The Watchtower' is may favourite song of all. I will never learn it.

He also tears the roof off with this version of 'Johnny B. Goode':

Mal Paso-i totally agree with CCR's I Put a Spell on You... good call.

AndyLowry...have you heard Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah?

It's My Party and Final Solution... very cool.

And maybe Hendrix doing Watchtower is the ultimate cover Hekawi. Guess i was hoping for more obscure stuff.

Here's Taj's unique spin on a traditional tune-i think that's the Staple Singers behind him.

Not from me you won't. I actually heard this before I heard Screamin' Jay's and I can't stand his. JC was my absolute guitar idol when I first heard this song.

Stevie Ray doing Buddy Guy's Mary Had a Little Lamb.

And I think I like RHCP's Higher ground a little more than Stevie Wonder's.

Covers usually won't be better just like sequels to movies usually aren't better.
