Keith Jarrett: used to be astonished by his stuff, now just skip to a pop song when it comes up on shuffle.

Wilco: great band & I love Nels but.... Skip

Tori Amos: Over the years just listened to Too Much Bat **** Crazy Tori! Still respect her songwriting. Only album I still listen to is Scarlets Walk.

Indian classical music: It's great, sophisticated, requires too much attention and I am just tired of the sound of the instruments themselves with the exception of Santoor.

Pink Floyd/Zep/van halen: burnt from overexposure.

Respect the Beatles but think people should move on. Popular music as a whole has improved greatly on the formula they created. They are like the vinyl nostalgia of music. Compared to some musicians that cannot be "improved" on like: Son house/Django/Miles etc etc

Nope.

I've had an ability to suss out people I couldn't stay with, and avoid them from the start.

There's stuff I only listen to a little, but insofar as never again, not a single one.

Weird combination of being very advanced when I was young, and my tastes have evolved way, way less than the next person. Same #1 band (Buffalo Springfield) since 1967. That's not common at all.

Zappa, SRV, Brian Setzer, Jeff Beck, Brad Paisley, Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, Eric Clapton. That's it in pretty much that order. I dove headfirst into the music of all of these players at one point or another over the last 20 years, and for various reasons. They all leave me cold now. Zappa and Beck make me nauseous when I hear even a few notes at this point.

I can't really name any because I always tend to go back and revisit things I've been into in the past at some point.

Pink Floyd, I understand that they do make music that people like I just don't care for it. I find it funny how many people say the wall and dark side of the moon are the best albums of all time.

Lynyrd Skynyrd...

A truly GREAT band that has been killed by AOR radio over-saturation, unwanted "tribute" albums and tours, and being covered by every redneck who can strum three chords.

What happens to when you never want to hear yourself again? No more music?

I still listen to all the artists I revere/respect. The trick was not to like rubbish music in the first place. I still love every record in my collection.

Hey Imsilly, you've raised an interesting point.

How do you factor in change?

Do you plan on having the same taste for the rest of your life?

Not trolling, just curious.
