Songs with cool beginnings
I posted this link in a new thread yesterday:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSbZBZjIDVI It shows Walter Trout and his band doing what I regard as a very cool opening for the song Dust My Broom. I love the impact. Any openings/intros/beginnings to songs out there that you guys like?

Okay, this one is a live version, but I've always loved the gentle hum of feedback before the song starts on this version: I guess I like feedback intros. I love the intro to this song almost more than the song itself:

Most songs by the Jam, but in particular:

My two favorite openings ever are:
Jolene - Dolly Parton. It's simple but I just love that guitar part. William, it was really nothing - The Smiths. The intro is a song in itself, an absolute joy! |
