James Nash

I recently got to hear James play guitar and sing at a show in Berkeley and was knocked out.

Has anyone else out there had a chance to hear him perform? The stuff on youtube doesn't really do him justice.

The Waybacks are a great band, especially Warren Hood on the fiddle. I'm planning to go see them again whenever I get a chance...

I don't know how to embed videos, but here's a link to a tune from the Sweetwater gig James played last week in Mill Valley. I was there, but it's not my video.

Update: Thanks Lerb! I just did a search and your advice popped up from an old thread.

James really is worth a listen...he's playing there again this Wednesday, so if you live near the bay you might want to check it out.

Discaimer: I'm not affilliated with either James Nash or the Sweetwater, but I will be in the audience again. At $10.00 a head it's too good to pass up!

James Nash is a phenominal player and The Waybacks is a great band.

Every year, for the past five, they play a classic album at Merlefest. This year they did Are You Experienced? Amazing stuff.

Here's a tune from that (have a tissue ready....)

I love this clip:

Hey GP,

I'm glad to hear that at least someone else agrees.

Thanks for the vids!

BTW: James did a version of Ophelia at the gig last week and really nailed the vocals.

Here's some more vids from the show on the 13th with much better audio:

I'll probably go again this Wednesday...it's pointless to resist!

Nice, I'll watch those later! Must be nice to live by his homebase and get to see him play with his different bands. The Waybacks are making their way back here in August!
