Lars Haavard Haugen, Norway's number one tele picker has finally released his first solo album. He's been the lead guitarist in Norway's most famous country/rock band the last 20 years, playing telecasters most of the time, but also Tom Anderson (T) and PRS.

His style has become more rock than country the last years, but he's still one of my favorite chicken pickers!

Hi Tommy,

I have posted YouTube clips of Lars Haavard/Hellbillies numerous times, but since he's not American (or British) there has been very little feedback from the forum members, with a few exceptions.

While LH's playing is on par with masters like Brent Mason, Vince Gill or Brad Paisley, he's obviously born in the wrong place ...

(To me it's the right place though

).
