I heard a couple of his songs done by other singers in around 73, so I found his recordings. He writes great songs.
I probably haven't thought of him in 20 years. Going to find all his youtubes.

Oh my gosh yes. I've loved Mickey since I discovered him when I was about 20. If there is a better country album than Looks Like Rain I have yet to hear it. The Holy Trinity of Texas songwriters is, without a doubt, Mickey, Townes and Guy Clark.

My favorite song of Mickey's is, I think, Cortelia Clark. Clever lyrics, wonderful imagery and a beautiful melody.
