Bill Frisell on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Series

Wonderful stuff. Some great shots of his hands and picking technique.

This performance and Bill's new album is a tribute in the purest sense of the word. Extra cool to hear him choose a Strat. Of course, he'd be recognizable on any instrument.

From somebody that was there (wish it had been me!), the effects Bill had for the video are:

Boss Tuner -> Audiolex Active Aggressive -> EH Freeze -> Line 6 DL4 -> TC Electronics Hall of Fame reverb all powered by a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+.

Looks like George L cables but there's a D'Addario Planet Waves coming out the reverb.

I didn't know anything about the Audiolex - but I gather they were handmade by Alex Aguilar in a very small batch(s).

I'll say it again : it blows my mind that he uses that Line 6 DL4 since he is such a delay-heavy guy (and that thing is such a "kinda works but..." pedal on CL).

Not my favorite of stuff I've heard him do but I'll give him a listen whatever he does.
