Right now, I'll chillin' to some Derailers. Great example of pure country.
Reminds me of when I was a kid, listening to Buck and Don, Merle, Del Reeves, and Waylon BEFORE he was an outlaw...... |

Listening too......
Redd Volkaert (Telewacker) and Kenny Vaughan ( V). Most know of Redd he is my favorite tele player. Kenny Vaughan is new to my ear and his album titled V is great old school country with a rock n roll bite. I love it. Also check out his YT blues stuff where hes playing a SG its pretty good also.

I'm on a Band and rockabilly kick right now:
Music From Big Pink The Band Stage Fright Cahoots Various Artists-Raw Rockabilly Just for the record, I don't listen to any retro modern rockabilly. The posing and 50's costumes bother me. The old stuff is still the best. |

Currently, I'm J-Rocking
JILS - My Dear. I really dig Yukiya's vocals, and I think he's really good at writing vocal melodies. Malice Mizer - Gardenia. This song is brilliant to me. Elegant, but powerful. Klaha's vocals soar on this and I find his stage presence quite powerful even though he's not moving around everywhere. He's just got great moves and a great look to me. Yu~ki's bass playing is mega-solid. Those not accustomed to the bizarre idiosyncrasies of Visual Kei will probably find Izam, Shazna's vocalist, very disturbing. Despite that, I think the song Melty Love is pretty rockin' and catchy even though it is a bit sickly sweet. |
