the mermen: they blew my mind last night.
hi guys,
on my search for good surfmusic i found the mermen. bought two albums online , put on my studio headphones and was taken on a trip. the experience was absolutely overwhelming. i canīt explain. the stereo tremolo things that happen in mermenland alone are unbelievable. |

They are still together, sort of. The bass player just finished a tour with Joe Satriani. 2010 album is "In God We Trust," which I was playing the other night. Even my wife, who hates all instrumentalism, said it was very good.
I wish they played outside of San Francisco, I would see them in a heartbeat ...

Check out the nebulas, too. A now defunct (sort of) surf project out of Boston.
