Anyone Try The Tonerider Surfari Alnico III Strat Set?
Just wondering if anyone has tried this set, and what they think of these pickups if they have. It's either this set or the Pure Vintage for my next pickups. I've read plenty about the Pure Vintage, but interestingly, nothing about the Surfari's.

For some reason, the Sufari's seem hard to come by. There was a thread some time back on the gear page about them. If I recall correctly, the person that posted was very impressed. You might do a search over there and see what comes up.
Have you tried the Pure Vintage set? After many attempts to find strat pups I was happy with, my search ended with the Pure Vintage set. Fantastic tone and feel imho. I know that doesn't answer your question....perhaps email Ralph Halsey ( who sells Toneriders ) and he can shed some light on the Sufari's. Good luck! |
