Tele Piezo "Acoustic" Pickup?
Has anyone incorporated some kind of piezo pickup in your Tele? Something you could either blend in with the magnetic pickup or play on it's own. I was thinking for the one or two songs I play acoustic on in my band, something like this might be a better way to go. No, it's not going to sound anything like a good D-18, but it might sound closer to the Takemine I'm borrowing.
I'm not sure I want to go with wired saddles, but maybe a glue on piezo on the bridge plate would work. What have you tried and what worked for you? |

I know it's got wired saddles, but...
Nashville power Tele - check it out, it's great.... 'cept I had to mod mine to be able to switch between acoustic & electric without having to twiddle two vol knobs at the same time. Download the Fishman powerchip manual - they show you how to do that, why Fender don't is beyond me seeing as the other guitars I've seen with the Fishman powerbridge do (Gibson Slash model LP, and some Godin model) I ended up modding a DI box so I can use a TRS guitar cable - acoustic signal goes thru DI & straight into mixing desk, electric guitar signal goes back out & off to my pedalboard. |
