Wiring help
I need som advice on how to wire my partscaster..
I will use SCN pupīs a TBX tonecontrol and a push/pull pot for changing between series and parallel. By the way iīm using Fender vintagebridge iīve read some threads on problems with pupīs like these and magnetic bridges But any help with wiring and advice regarding this stuff would be great. |

Send a message to Deaf Eddie about this. He REALLY knows his stuff when it comes to wiring.

Got yer e-mail...
I got your e-mail and answered that the TBX takes a special pot, precludes a push/pull under the tone pot; but you can put the p/p in the volume spot, no worries.
I know nothing about SCNs and vintage bridges, sounds too goofy to be true - but I've heard weirder stuff.

Thanks Eddie
Iīve just soldered the pots and switch together according to your push pull series/parallel wiring diagram. But iīve put the push pull as the volume. I donīt know about the scnīs and magnetic bridges just read it somewhere here in the forum about some samarium cobalt pupīs from Bill Lawrence and since these (fender scn) are pretty much the same thing... but i donīt know i guess iīll notice when i get the bridge, which never arrives Thanks for the excellent diagram youīve made. By the way right now iīve wired two 250k potīs as volume and tone (since iīm waiting for the TBX as well) and a .0033 cap, would that be ok or is it possible that itīll sound muddy?? |
