Both great pickups but apples and oranges. The V+ has most of the traditional qualities you'd expect in a Tele pickup. It has a pretty stout output but doesn't have the heft and overwound quality of say, a SD Quarter Pounder. To me a little more like a Broadcaster but different. Very crisp and clear with the volume backed off. Gets a little compressed with the volume up.
The S90 is fat and bites and crunches really sweet. They're supposed to emulate a P-90, but you'll hear varying opinions on that one. To me they have a lot of the qualities of a good P-90. GREAT pickup for Rock and Blues. FWIW you could check the reviews on Harmony Central as well as a few on the HD site.

Harmonic Design S90 vs V+ for bridge - which would go better in output and tonal spectrum with a SD '59 neck pickup?

S90 and a 59 in the neck is the exact combo that I am running in one of my teles. Trust me, you will like the combo. I wired it up with a 5-way so I can get some single coil sounds also. Don't use them much, but they are nice to have.
