Fralin vs. American Standard Tele?
How would one compare American Standard Tele. pickups with Lindy Fralins of the same kind?
I love the stock pickups in my MIA Tele, but here lots of folks recommending Lindy Fralin's. I would definitely have a use for my MIA pickups, cause they would be great replacements for my wife's MIM ones if I chose to go with some Lindys. But I like some opinions. |

I love mine. Would not go back. The still sound like a tele only more alive. I need a neck repair once. The tech absolutely freaked out over how good the pickups sounded. Figure how many guitars that guy hears on a day to day basis. They are probably my best gear purchase.

I don't use Fralins, but I have played them and found them quite satisfying. They were vibrant and dynamic. Very expressive.
The difficulty for me would be trying to decide which Fralins to use! I would probably go for the 5% overwind for just a tad more hair on the beast. |
