91 Am Stand. pup question
I just purchased a 91 Tele pup from an American Standard Tele(according to the seller). It has the brass plate, level pole pieces and reads just under 6K. What seems odd to me is that the windings don't seem as thick around...(not as many windings). To me it has the appearance the windings are more like an import pup. How do I ID that generation of pups? Previous owner shielded pup.
