What pup to make your tele sound like a Gretsch?
Who's getting close to that Brian Setzer sound with your tele? Is it possible? How you doing it? What kind of pups you using? You using a standard tele body or an f-hole body? Any thoughts?

Yeah but you can always change it back. It'd be worth it if you really want the sound tho. Or look into one of the solid body Gretsch guitars. The P\U will cost you at least $100, for an extra $400 you could buy a used Gretsch. |

which Gretsch sound?
Gretsch used a lot of different pu's, Dearmond single coils, their own single coils, humbuckers.
Fender made a Tele with the newer Dearmond pu's, I've played a home brew Tele that had some of those and it sounded really good to me, don't know if it sounded like any particular Gretsch model though. |
