can this be done

can you mount a strat pickup on a tele bridge base plate? if so, where could you get a blank base plate?

see i have these snc pickups from my strat that i'm not using and i was wondering if i could somehow mount one to a tele bridge plate and use it like that. they're expensive pickups, otherwise i'd just by the tele set.

I cut a plastic mounting plate from a crappy MIM Telecaster pickup that was in my junk drawer.

I used that mounting plate to mount a DiMarzio rails for Strats in the bridge of a Tele for a while. Looked like crap, was butchered to seat the pickup, and had super glue holding it together - but it worked :)

I have since replaced that pickup, but what I'm saying is, I guess anything can be possible.
