If you're referring to the trad Tele neck pickup try Seymour Duncan or Lindy Fralin. If you have a lipstick pickup (which are specifically Danelectro type pickups, which were originally housed in casings made by a manufacturer in the cosmetics industry) the only ones I know that actually sound authentic are the ones Jerry Jones makes. I have no idea if he sells them as separate parts.

The next one I'm trying...
is tha All Parts garden variety tele neck pup,
with the cover removed. Heard one a while back & it sounded great. Brighter & more open than stock. Liked it better than the SD Alnico 2 I've got in one tele. I have a Chandler (Dano knockoff) lipstick in the neck of my other tele. I love the tone, but it's so wimpy in output, it doesn't work well with the Broadcaster in the bridge. |

thanks for all the replies. :D i'll look into some of your suggestions
BTW, I also removed the cover to a strat pup, and it fits the tele neck hole.....interesting, huh?...except, i think i'd want to somehow protect the bobbin somehow. ...maybe w/ a piece of tape or something...i dunno... thanks again!
