Neck pup that keeps up with Tone Zone T?
I'm searching for a singlecoil neck pup that can keep up with the Tone Zone T, volume wise. Preferably something bright, but I don't know if that's possible since it would have to be considerably hot.
It should also be something "off the shelf" since I live in Belgium and don't have a credit card, so it's not easy for me to get boutique stuff. Any ideas? |

Twang King, perhaps? I know that Richie Kotzen uses a Twang King in the neck position on his teles, and he has a Chopper T in the bridge, which isn't quite as hot as the TZ T, but it's very comparable.
How does your Tone Zone T sound on the clean channel? Any twang at all? Do you play w/ alot of gain/distortion? |

I usually play with a considerable amount of gain (think Greenday), and the Tone Zone is very good for that. Clean however... There is no twang at all.
I am going to wire it so that I can get the split sound, I've read it's pretty tele-like then. |

LOL, I didn't think there'd be a trace of twang left--- I play alot of high gain stuff too (Green Day, Watershed, Bruce Dickinson, Dio, etc.) and it's hard to find a bridge pickup that can do dirt and clean... my Chopper T is doing pretty well though.
