P-90 phase reversal - how to?
Yo guys, I have a P-90 equipped LP soecial, and in the middle position, the pickups are so out of phase that it's basically unusable. Yeah, it can get that old T-Bone honk, but the output level is pretty low unless I have one pickup's volume control a lot higher than the others. I think I'd get more mileage out of the axe if the pickups were working together, and sacrifice the T-Bone tone.
So, how do I go about flipping the phase/polarity of a P-90? Flip the magnets? Iny pointers on how to go about it? Thanks. OH, the P-90s are Fralins. TIA |

Not sure but I think Lindy winds them both inthe same direction. I have known him to take a pickup back and rewind it for reverse wind and hum cancelling in the middle position. But you may want to give him a call on that one. Lindy is a very nice guy and will do whatever he can to help you out. :)
