Hey all,
Thinking about upgrading my pups. i have a MIM tele. i play mainly classic rock and blues. im thinking on th SD hotrails for the neck (ya, im gonna modify the pickguard) But i cant find a bridge pup that will match the neck (10.8 K). i dont want one with twice the output roughly the same would be best. any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks |

The DC ohms rating is not always a good indicator of how loud a pickup will be. I have a Duncan Antiquity mini humbucker in one of my guitars that is rated near the same as the two Kinmans I have there yet the Duncan p'up is much louder. I simply adjust heights until I get them balanced.
There is some very useful information on the SD site if you take a few minutes to read it. http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/...k_a_pickup.pdf

Texas Specials have an output rating in that range.
>>>DC resistance, Bridge, approx. 10.5K, inductance 3.95 henries, Neck pickup approx. 9.5K, inductance 3.3 henries. Those specs are from Angela Instruments (angela.com)
