GFS Fatboy Pick-ups

I just ordered the neck model. Has anyone had any experience with these PU's. I just orded it on a whim, if I don't like it I'll just change it back. I'm looking for a neck PU with a little more power and brightness. I have a HotRails in the bridge so I'm not looking for the "Classic" Tele tone.

I've heard nothing but great things about them. Supposed to be a "stratty" sound thats pretty fat, with good clarity.

I'm curious about these too. If I weren't sticking a humbucker in my MIM I'd probably get one.

I finally got the GFS FatBoys in the mail today. Took me all of 20 minutes to install them. I kept the same strings on it so I wouldn't be fooled into thinking that it's the pick-up and not just new strings. First impressions were awesome, it sounds very fat and opened compared to the stock PU's. It drives my tubescreamer a lot harder than the original PU's.

I actually had to lower it (height wise) as far as it would go because it was competing with my HotRails in the bridge, it's very hot and fat!I'll give it a real working over this weekend when my wife and kid are out of the house
:D

It's a great pickup. Got one in the neck of my Squier 51. Here's some clips mixed in with it on the Epiphone Valve Jr Head clips...
