TV Jones Magna'Tron...
Does anyone have experience with using a TV Jones Magna'Tron in the neck position of a Tele? I'm wondering how well it would match up with a flatpole broadcaster style bridge pickup in a swamp ash/maple guitar. There isn't a whole lot of info on the Magna'Tron, but it's supposed to to be a humbucker that's brighter than a regular hummer, & has more of a single coil sound.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!! |

I'm having a gretsch style guitar made with a magnatron in the neck....I'll let you know how it turns out.
The other one you might consider is a Fralin Unbucker. I know several guys that have them in the neck positon (teles). From what I hear, you won't ever want anything else - they supposedly are the sheeeeit. |

After numerous emails & a phone conversation, I decided to go ahead & order the TV Jones Magn'Tron in the P90 mount. It's destination is the neck position of the Stresquire, which has it's own thread here:
