'72 Thinline humbucker split

Hi!

I have a (wonderful) CIJ '72 Thinline and was wondering if it is possible to install a humbucker split on these pu's. Anyone done this?

It might be possible, but you would have to remove the cover and install 4-way shielded wire. The later MIM pickups ahve 4-way conductors, apparently.
