Has Anyone tried GFS's Nashville's Yet?

I know everyone uses the Liverpools, it seems.
but what about the Nashvilles?

I was going to

but I got sidetracked and ended up with the Liverpools instead. They sure sound good to me, but I'm also curious about the Nashvilles.

I've got a set, but

the humbucker pup slot is a little too little for them. So I need to enlarge the hole a bit.

Would you know a way to do that without screwing it up?

humbucker slot too small

on my Japanese Fender Tele the GFS pickups just fit. Actually the neck pickup fit but is leaning forward a little because it's a tight fit. I need to remove some wood too, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm also curious how others would recommend we do this.

Didn't try them..

...as I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Liverpools. From what Jay said they are similar, but brighter with a more jangly top end. Also they are Ceramic, so they will be more aggressive and not compress as much as the 'pools. As the Liverpools are plenty bright and Jangly enough for me(in spades, and in a GOOD way)...

Liverpools in single-coil configuration

I put my Liverpools on a Japanese 2-humbucker Tele. I never really used humbuckers, or even wanted to, but the cutouts were already there, as well as a coil-cut switch. I found that the Liverpool pickups sound mighty nice in coil-cut single-coil operation. In fact I use that setting most of the time. I love the neck pickup, and with both on it's pretty quacky. Bridge pickup I hardly use, but that's just me. I rarely use the bridge on my '68 Tele or Strat, or my P-90 Gibbo LP Special. I'm just not a bridge-pickup guy, I guess.

coil-cut switchs. I don't really understand. Is it different than a 'regular' switch?

coil-cut switch

it's a pretty common switch on humbucker guitars. The humbucker pickup cosists of two coils; normally both are operating. The coil-cut switch grounds-out one of the coils so that only a single coil is operating. This turns the humbucker into a single-coil. Sometimes the single-coil sounds good. With the Liverpools I think the single-coil sounds really nice. I'm sure you can easily find a diagram of the cut switch wiring. I'll look around and see if I can find a link for you.
