Resonator Guitar Pickup?

I just recently purchased a Fender F50 Resonator guitar and wonder if any of you have experience with installing a pickup system on this type guitar.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a Fender like yours and a custom DeNeve with the McIntyre in it. The Feather attaches to the underside of the cone. Since you will be taking your guitar apart, you might as well take the opportunity to replace the nut and the saddle inserts and do a setup. Get the resonator setup video from Paul Beard www.beardguitars.com You will need a preamp. I run mine through a Fishman and it works great into an Ashdown Peacemaker 40 and an external 2x12 cab. I'm told that it would sound better through an acoustic amp, but I don't know how. This is about as good as it gets.
