I've bought a few sets of pickups & all of mine have a sticker & Scott's handwriting on the back. None of these seem to have that, which seems a bit strange. I first started buying HDs 2 years ago, so maybe things were different before then.

Are those ceramic bars on the bottom of those pickups? I'm not that familair with Scotts pups, ( other than hearing from a friend who uses and loves them ) so I'm not sure of the design details.

Well, they are being sold from Japan, but are made in the USA. The auctions all state that and the marking on the boxes in the pics say as much too.

Kinda weird. Could it be someone who bought in bulk from HD?

If someone were to contact Scott, I'm sure he'd know and clarify.

They are great pups, btw.

Them Ebay pickups could very well bring bargain-priced satisfaction to fans of the obscure. And, who knows, they could be just what you're looking for, in which case we got plenty more up in the attic.

We're not trying to bust anybody's chops. The Ebay Guy is perfectly legit and all. We'd just like everyone to keep in mind that those are old pickups we once made for some other company and they're not all that much like the pickups we offer now.

Our concerns are that you will :

a. Get some of those Japanese pickups, not like them and start thinking our stuff sucks.

b. Bug the crap out of us asking about the stuff on Ebay and how they're different from the real deal, etc.

Okay then thanks,
Scott
