What is a twisted tele?
What is this pickup? What is it purported to do? Why can't I get one from Fender, when I can get just about everything else?

From what I gather it's simply a reverse wound neck p/up so that you don't get any hum when you solo the neck. Reverse...twisted...get it? Now, I might be wrong, but that's what it appears and I seem to remember reading that somewhere. I've never seen them for sale anywhere.

Yes.. review the above post.. There are many pickups that you cannot get OEM from Fender...
You CAN get the twisted tele neck.. but you have to order it directly from the Originator himself, Alan Hamel.. Do some searches on Alan Hamel and the Tall Neck or Tallboy... etc...
