Well, since you asked....and I may be in the minority here...but I think they are darned good sounding pickups. The neck is killer for blues tones. Very full and rich. The Hot T is one of my favorite bridge pickups. Dimarzio did an excellent job of combining twang, spank and girth in this one. It's also very responsive to the tone control. A nice mix of classic tele and hototer, P-90 tones. The regular VV T is good too, but I much prefer the Hot T.

Yeah, I have the neck pickup in a Tele, along with a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster in the bridge. It's actually a nice combintation, I like it a lot. Just wondering what others think... Thanks BB! :D

I put a set of the Hot T's in my parts-tele due to BB's recommendation. The man knows tone! I love em!

WOW so far everyone who posted likes them, unlike almost every other hum-cancelling stacked pickup... interesting...

Vince Cunetto is using the Hot T in his Vinetto guitars.

Yeah...I'd hear that. I would be interested to hear how the owners of those beautiful guitars like the Hot T.

I think there are some owners over on the gear page, but I don't recall reading any comments on the pickup. I'll have to go do a search after work tonight.

Are you still using this combo and do you still like it?

I have a set of Virtual T's lying around waiting to be installed and wouldn't mind swapping out the Duncan Vintage Rhythm that I have paired with my SD Broadcaster. Were there any phase issues with the two pickups?

Actually, I don't have that combination anymore, because I started winding my own pickups. It was a great combination, but I can't remember if there were phase issues. If there were, you just gotta switch the black and green wires, no biggy. :)

Let us know what you think of the combination. :)

I had a set for

2 weeks. The tone was too muted, for lack of a better word. I tried changing tone caps, but it wasn't the high end so much, but the lower mids weren't quite right. I will say that the Kinman noiseless were by far the most single coil sounding.

The hot T sounds great in my Vinetto. Much more articulate than I expected, and a good match with the Lollar minihums. I'd recommend them as an excellent noiseless choice. A bit different vibe than something like a Barden, but similar output.

Like most noiseless pickups, you still don't quite capture all the character (warts and all) of something like a good Hamel or Stuart, but they still sound damn good.
