Broadcaster IMO

I've played both and prefer the broadcaster. Nothing wrong with the Antiquity, but the Broadcaster is a little edgier and more sparkle on the top end to my ear. Some people complain that they're too bright, but...that's what amp eq is for.

I have owned both and used in the same guitar.

Both great truth be told the difference is so slight you really have to listen for it. The Ant seemed to break up a little more and also had a tad more midrange but the Ant cost more and the difference in sound to me wasnt as great as the price difference.

The SD Broadcaster is a great all around Tele pickup.

Another vote for Broadcaster

I have both and I prefer the Broadcaster. The Antiquity is a good pickup, but between the two, it sounds a little softer, mushier, and more polite. It's a little sweeter and more tamed. The Broadcaster can sometimes seem a little flatter and mid-rangey and less complex than other pickups, without the low-string pop and screaming highs. But I have always gone back to it. There is something very rich and full sounding but also really tough and snarly about it as well. A great pickup. I appreciate it more and more the longer I have it.

In fact, I pulled the Antiquity out of the Tele I had it in and replaced it with a Duncan 54. But that's another thread ....

I'd be very interested to hear your comparison of the Broadcaster and '54. I have a Broadcaster in my Tele and am trying to figure out what pickup to put in the Tele I'm getting ready to build.
