Pickup height - staggard pole

Got a staggard pole bridge pickup off flea bay. The one that is in the 69RI. I really like it, but I am somewhat perplexed as to the correct height for the set up.

Do I measure from the highest pole? From the lowest?

Thanks for your help. I really like the pup...I just a little ay-nal when it comes to a good setup.

From the Fender Support Page:

Set too high, pickups can cause a myriad of inexplicable phenomena. Depress all of the strings at the last fret. Using 6" (150 mm) ruler, measure the distance from the bottom of the 1st and 6th strings to top of the pole piece. Rule of thumb-the distance should be greatest at the 6th string - neck pickup position, and closest at the 1st string - bridge pickup position. Follow the measurement guidelines from the chart as starting points. The distance will vary according to the amount of magnetic pull of the pickup.
Bass Side Treble Side
Vintage style 6/64" (2.4 mm) 5/64" (2 mm)
I interpret this to mean the outermost two poles. Whichever way you interpret it, take it as a starting point.

Mine are, 6th string to 1st string in 64ths of an inch:
7
7.5
5.5
6
6
4.5

I have my saddle heights set generally following the neck radius.

I have a Voodoo TE60 with staggered poles, my MIM has a 9.5" radius. I just set it pretty much flat across, not worrying about "slant". It ended up about 1/8" from the low E pole and 3/32s below the high E pole (strings pressed at top fret)...I like the thickness in tone with the pup higher like this.

Actually, at 8/64 and 6/64 that's lower (on the outermost poles) than Fender's suggested starting point of 6/64 and 5/64. But the raised poles will be relatively higher, than with that same setting on a 7.25"radius. I have a '98 Squier Standard with a 9.5" radius, right now it has a flatpole Duncan Broadcaster in it. But I have a Muddy Waters staggerpole bridge coming I plan to try in it, I'll measure it once I get it where I like it and compare to my 7.25" radius with the staggerpole.

Even at 8/64

on the low E, that D pole looks like it is very close. I can even feel the pole sometimes when I play. (fingerpicker)

I run it 8/64 (two nickels, depressed strings) on low E, and a nickel and a dime on the high E.
