Has anybody tried these?
Or... did they just come out?
I bet they're outstanding.

Found the answer to my question.
Looks like they came out only a few days ago (Sept 26)...

I got a set on the way. I got tired of waiting for the *other* set of boutiques, so I jumped at the chance to get a special offering from Lollar/GVCG. That fact that
they're reliced and will match my guitar is extra cool.

Those look great!

I find it amusing that several people me included got tired of waiting for the *other* boo teak winder and went elsewhere.

Thats how I found OC Duff and turned everyone here onto him.

Duff Lollar Stuart cant go wrong.

Hey, where is Ron?

He's not hijacked this thread yet and done a "sales pitch" for the other boutique pick-up winder yet? (see the Webers board).

Good work Jonathan and Jason.

I highly doubt it. These guys are usually very "Vintage Correct." Although Jonathon Wilson likes to put the "Tadeo Taper" on all of the guitars he builds.

I want some...

I kind of figured that. What is the Tadeo taper? Something to do with the heel shape perhaps?

It is headstock shaping next to the low E tuner.
Here's where he explains his take on it:

Let's see, three posts in one thread, boyo, that sure is Hijacking.

Is hijacking athread worse than posting that Hamel/Ellis have "a history of screwing people"?

Anyway, I'm screwed good. I have two sets of Hamels. Love 'em and I'd never post on this thread if it hadn't become a pis**ng match on Hamel/Ellis.

edit (trying to be kinder): remember that Allen's wife died in the middle of all this pickup stuff.

Let's hope "your" wife doesn't die and leave "you" alone trying to deal with backordered pickups.
There's about a million things I could say, but I'm not in the mood to be dogpiled on.

Forgive my clumsy attempt to temper the dissing of Hamel/Ellis output issues by reminding the mud slingers that Alan's wife died about a half a year ago and heaven forbid anyone suffer the same, maybe we could find a way to show some compassion.

To be honest, I'm surprised it took you this long to start beating the Hamel drum.

What's the current excuse for screwing people - because they [Ron and Alan] are?! Since my post, several people hve PM-ed me asking me how I managed to get my pick ups inside 5-months (one poor chap has been waiting 11-months ) with others asking me not to rock the boat as they suspect they may be getting close (after several months) to getting their pick ups.

Let's start a new thread, where you can post daily about your wonderful experience with Ellis and Hamel, and I, plus several others, will be able in reply about how we were lied to, deceived and had to resort to legal action and threats to get the goods I paid for.

I'm game. Are you?

Kind of funny that I originally started this post to let people know of something cool that Jason Lollar and GVCG did.. And it turned into a Hamel bash even though this topic has NOTHING to do with him or his pickups...

There are now 2 topics I'll never bring up again here on the TDPRI... Pickups and computers...

C'est la Guerre (or however you spell war in french...)

Chris

I accept full responsibility and I'm sorry. I expected this thread to be hijacked as it was on another board and was trying to be funny and ironical. :(

I got mine the other day as well. They look very convincing, very old and weathered. Being Lollars, they are top notch in build quality all the way. BTW, They come in a neat stained wooden box with the GVCG logo
on them. Thanks, JW. Oh, and I got them in under a week.
