La Cabronita Pickup Preference?
The next project is going to be a single pickup La Cab style guitar. I know the usual choices are the TV Jones and the Filtertron. I'm primarily a fingerpicker, prefer mellow over bright, typically use .010s or .011s, and have a light touch.
What are the differences? Are there other pickups I should be looking at?

firebird. not the current "modern" overly pimped 'n' pumped version, the older 60's original version with 42awg over an a5 bar for each coil. ooooo. nice.

I have a TV Jones Classic in the neck position and Classic Plus in the bridge of mine and could not be happier. "Glorious" is about the best description for them. Granted, I bought my set used on eBay for maybe half the cost of a new set. But now that I know what they sound like, I would absolutely pay full price for them. They really are that good.

Great help, thanks all! I'm not at all familiar with these pickups, so if you remember what pots and caps went into your project that'd be helpful too.
