Don .. you're probably a nice guy but you have to remember you are in a guitar player's forum here. However good you think you are ... there's always someone better than you .. probably hundreds actually.

Man!
Stop having a meltdown and stop responding and this thread will be absorbed into the TDPRI files and be forgotten!! The only lasting thread on TDPRI I see is at Bad Dog Cafe> Get rid of that spare tire, who's up for the challenge?? Let's step up to the challenge and move on, sorry for sounding harsh. Roy R.I.P.

No worries Ramsie.
Not really sure what all the fuss is about though I've seen a damn site worse threads . I was more curious as to whether Dons album actually sounded like Roy playing , seeing as it's been 2 years since the thread was started and it should have been well and truly listened to by now by some folks here . Also i've heard good things about his pups . Normally an admin will close a thread if he feels it's a problem thread , so to kind of be told off for posting on it by Mr Jonz seems a little uncalled for |

Don left on bad terms. There were a lot of sore feelings. Some of us still like Don, eccentric as he may be, and see no need to resurrect 2 year old threads and the feelings associated with what happened.
Not taking sides here or apologizing for Don or anyone else. Things were said to Don and his reaction to that was inappropriate. What was done was done and Don was banned for breaking forum rules. I'm sure that Paul dealt with the situation fairly. End of story. This thread probably should be erased...it serves no purpose really. There are other, better threads that deal with his pickups.

Sorry if you took it like that, I didn't mean it that way, I wasn't telling you off, just stating a fact: nobody wanted to touch your question, and that the best thing is probably to contact the moderator, if you want an answer, as posting the reasons here are not appropriate IMO. Then, if still curious, get the other side of the story from Don Mare himself. In any event, his pickups are 1st class.

Maybe there were some posts which had been deleted that I missed . Dons quite a well known name over here , so obviously seeing the ban sparked a little interest . Wasn't looking to reopen old wounds , and to be honest , didn't see too much in the thread that would have resulted in a ban , hence the original question . Guitar Jonz That's cool man . I think I have a rough idea what happened now so no further questions needed |
