Dimarzio "Tone Zone T"

Anyone try one of the Dimarzio "Tone Zone T's"?
I know it's not your Tele tone but seems like it may be great for a rock application with no modifications to guitar.

i have one

I have one in my Tele! I like it alot..At times love it.. Its much better than the SD Hot Rails I think. It has more of a low-end growl that is clear as a bell but will also take the paint off the wall as soon as you crank up the gain! I find it best for playing rhythms apposed to ripping a solo or lead work even they it can be done. High notes can some times lose their shimmer due to the amount of bass that this pickup puts out. It’s a very full / thick sound that will complement most modern Rock well. I drop tune a lot with my Tele and the tone I can get with it through my 5150 can send chills down most peoples spine.

Great sounding pickup. As you indicated in the first post, you know it's not the traditional tele bridge tone. However, the split tone is very tele like. With the various wiring options available, I always thought the Tone Zome T would be a great pup for an rock esquire. Let us know how you like it once it's ready to roll. I think you'll be very happy with it though.
