Pickup Cover?

Is there any advantage to having a plastic cover on the neck pickup of a Tele? Thanks Kevin

Only if the pickup was uncovered to begin with, or you dislike scratched chrome.

Compared to a metal cover, a plastic one won't affect the tone.

Otherwise, a cover protects the coil.
