how to meassure pots...
OK I bought the multimeter (is it called that in english)
I got my loaded pickguard of my strat. Now how do I meassure if its 250K or 500K pots? - can I do it without cutting the wires? Or is resistance affected by being wired? |

Is there no writing on the sides of the potentiometers? If not, Use the multimeter to measure the resistance on the outside lugs of the pots. If there are wires on both outside lugs, you will need to disconnect one side, does not matter which side, to determine resistance.
