Kent Armstrong Lipstick p-ups- alnico or ceramic?
Finally getting around to ordering an RW/RP replacement pickup for my Dano baritone and they've got a 'hot' model using ceramic magnets as well as the traditional alnico variety.
Anyone tried either of these p-ups? How do they sound? Both? How do they compare? Thanks, jb |

Got a set in a Don Grosh
I don't know how much help I can be, but I've got Kent's vintage set in my Don Grosh Electratone (Don's take on the Dano). I don't have any real experience with other lipsticks to compare it, but I basically like the pickups. There's something about Kent's pickups that always seems a little hi-fi, if you know what I mean. Perhaps not as funky and rootsy as I might have hoped for, but a more solid/even sound than the one time I picked up a reissue Dano. GP reviewed this particular model guitar, with these pups, and gave it one of their editors picks awards, so they obviously liked the pickups. I hope that helps.
