Shoot some ideas at me...

Hey all I am going to be installing a new bridge in my telecaster fit for a humbucker and the routing is done. Now I have to choose a pickup. Please shoot some suggestions my way...

A Duncan 59 in the bridge of a Tele is amazing. If you need higher gain a JB works well.

I've had much success with the Duncan Alnico II Pro. It's a sweet sounding pickup that used to be my favorite humbucker.

My new favorite is the Duncan Custom 5. I know, it's a hot pickup, but it really doesn't sound like one. It's got plenty of top end and it pushes an amp the way a good humbucker should.

What tone are you looking for? There are so many pickups out there.

Peavey's got a great set of pickups in their HP Signature guitars. It's the closest thing I've heard to a real PAF in a long time. Absolutely fabulous with distortion of any kind. I wish they sold them outright. Peavey has some great pickup makers.

thanks guys. yeah i have a seymour duncan seth lover sh-55 in the neck which is a great PAF.
I am looking for a bridge pickup with Les Paul Balls! I play through a Marshall Stack so I want something that really drives but not too much as I play blues rock mainly not metal or anything like that. I was thinking the Duncan JB would be cool. Ill let you know what I decide on. If anyone else has some suggestions, fire away!

Before you do anything. contact Jon Moore at rhonjon@sympatico.ca

He'll hand wind a bucker to your specs for less than an off the shelf Duncan/Dimarzio. Not saying there is anything wrong with Duncan/Dimarzio et al. I have em, use em and dig em, but the Moore pups I have are in another league. Give him a shout. I guarantee you won't be sorry.
