Acoustic Pickups
Does anyone know of a good sounding pickup for an acoustic? I mean the kind that just go into the soundhole, because I'm looking to buy another acoustic and I don't really want the guitar to be obscured by an EQ on the side of it.

the Baggs M1 is a very nice soundhole pickup - probably the best in it's price range and certainly one of the best single source choices out there. If you can afford it, go with a Sunrise and a good pre-amp.
OTOH, just about any pickup system can be mounted in your guitar without cutting a hole in the side... you'll just need to have some kind of off board pre-amp. Just be aware that any acoustic pickup is a series of trade-offs between acoustic sound, simplicity, price, and feedback resistance. There is no such thing as accurate, cheap, simple, and resistant to feedback (although the M1 comes pretty close). |

I was thinking of a Sunrise too. You'll want to go for a S-1 LW model for a removable pickup with a cord attached. I was in Shoreline Music ~ 2 months ago and they had them available.
