Lollar Vintage Tele bridge pickup = Fantastic!

I switched out the stock bridge pickup in my Fender American Series Telecaster (which sounded good but was a bit overly harsh and overly trebly) for a Lollar Vintage Tele bridge pickup

there is definitely an improvement in "warming up" the sound and there is no longer the overly harsh overly bright trebly sound present.... I'm getting a classic Tele quack/twang sound now out of the bridge pickup and the entire sound/tone-knob spectrum of the bridge pickup is useable and sounds amazing now

I also put a Lollar Imperial Humbucker in the neck and replaced the stock bridge with a Callaham bridge with 3 compensated brass saddles--- The Callaham 3 saddle brass bridge was indeed a HUGE help with sustain (and helped the tone alot as well)... between that Bridge and the Lollar pickups (the Lollar Vintage Bridge pickup sounds amazing) I have transformed a very very nice Telecaster into something sensational

this Bridge pickup is the best Tele bridge pickup I've ever heard... is speaking with Jason Lollar, he said his '52 Tele bridge pickup was the twangiest and was very much like a pickup from a real '52 Tele, the Vintage has the old school classic 50's/60's Tele bridge sound, and the Special T is more of a midrange sound almost approaching a strat bridge or even a humbucker type of sound... I'm glad I went with the Vintage and with Lollar, the guy is a genius and a wizard and his pickups are nothing short of amazing

I agree 100%! Jason is at the top of his game. The way his pups respond ( as you said ) to the guitars volume and tone controls and the touch control you can get by varying your attack, is amazing. I bet that Imperial bucker is nothing short of stunning in your guitar.

yep, the Imperial Humbucker sounds amazing, but I'm flipping even more over this Bridge pickup... my guitar now sounds the way I've always heard a great Tele sounding in my head... Lollar has a customer in me for life

AJ - I feel the same way. I use Lollar pickups wherever I can nowadays. I have '52s in a butterscotch partscaster that is possibly the best sounding tele I have ever heard, new or vintage. Rob DiStefano even said it's one of the best he's ever heard, and he's played a tele or two in his days.

I had the Vintage Specials in a Nash guitar of mine that I recently sold, but I have an Esquire Partscaster on the way in the next few weeks that will have that bridge pickup back in it. I love that pickup, but it's hot enough that it's not for everyone.

I have another partscaster coming with his Vintage pickups, and I can't wait to hear those. They're the only ones I haven't heard.

Great tone & great service - can't beat it.
