Noiseless for tele???

Hi, i would like to change my tele pickups because the noise is killing my ears. I want a warm, open, lush and sweet sound, and that can take distortion pretty well. I mostly play jazz, fusion, rock, blues, ska and some latin. i never play country what do you recommend?

If you have the $ - I would go with Kinman Broadcasters. If you want to hear what they sound like check out

All instrumental, all Tele.

The Kinmans are the current gold standard in noiseless pickups. I have a set of Woodstocks in my Strat and that's part of the reason why it's my #1. Gorgeous tones.

They're worth every penny but bring a lot of pennies.

bill lawrence l200 set for vintage and an l290 bridge/l280 neck for modern. lots less dollar$ than kinman, and they do have The Tone.

+1 on Rob's recommendation. The L298's are more sweet and fat from what glean.
ZexCoil has some very happening offerings for not too much more $. Definitely worth a try.

+1 on the Bill Lawrence pickups. I use the L280TN/L280TL (not officially available, but still available. The L200TL is probably just as nice). Best value noiseless pickups available. Others are different, none are better.

I haven't tried the Lawrence pickups. I've used the Kinman Broadcaster set which sounds like a great alnico singlecoil 50s style tele pickup set. I've used Joe Barden pickups which are more hi-fi than stock singlecoils, and which will make a wider range of sounds than regular singlecoils or the Kinmans at various settings on the volume and tone controls on the guitar. I like the Kinmans and the Bardens equally. My only note about the Bardens is that I'd say they sound best through a juicy sounding amp (such as a Vox or Matchless or 65Amps or a JTM45 or a tweed or brown era Fender circuit), they don't sound as good to me through a flat/plain sounding amp.

I'm a fan of the EMG T set myself. Quite possibly the best sounding tele neck p/u. I have an SPC onboard as well - it's a mid boost that pushes the sound into humbucker territory.
