Which pups to use in a MIM Tele

Hi Guys - I'm starting to look into replacing the pups in my MIM, and I'm not really sure what to put in. This is the kind of tone that I'm looking for.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w37MszIK7c

I'm not trying to sound like Bruce, but I don't play much clean, and I'm a rock and roll player, so I'm not concerned with the country cleans as much as a good rock and roll over driven sound.

Here's a clip that's the neighborhood of what I'm looking for. I've searched a lot on youtube, but most of the tele playing is more of the clean twangy sound. I'm thinking either duncan broadcasters or fender nocasters. But I'm not really sure....

Any advice?

I think a Broadcaster or Nocaster is going to retain more of the Tele sound than what you're after. Springsteen used Quarter Pound Tele pickups from Duncan for quite a while (now he uses Bardens). I think I'd try the Quarter Pound set first; if you don't dig 'em and feel they're too ballsy, you can swap 'em with Duncan for a set of Hot for Tele pickups.

Custom Shop Texas Specials. Beware that Fender installs non-custom shop Texas Specials in some of their newer guitars and the are not the same. I'm sure some find this out too late after purchasing a new geetar and may put them up for sale as TX SPs, so be sure that they are the Custom Shop ones,[CS]. Neck = 9.5k ohms, Bridge 10.5 k ohms, aprox. They have been described as vintage HOT.

I put a "paper in oil", .015 cap in my Telecaster. It sounds great, because the oil lubricates the electricity and makes it go faster.

Try the Original Vintage - they sound fantastic and they don't cost much. Plenty of rock 'n' roll in there

Nocaster set is badass, TX special is great, and the avri 52 is serious bang for your buck...but...I don't think you can beat the throaty growl of the voodoo te50 through some cranking tubes.

I have Seymour Duncan's 52 for Tele in my MIM Fender Telecaster. Couldn't be happier! Great tone. I suggest you go the SD website and check out the tone chart. You can email them and layout what you play and what tone your looking to get. Good Luck!
