Need help with 3 pickup wiring

I want to put a Stratocaster pickup in the mid position of my Telecaster with bridge,bridge/mid,mid/neck,neck switching, but also want to get bridge/neck somehow. Does anyone have a diagram for that? Also, is there a template somewhere for routing a mid pickup in a telecaster?

Any help would be appreciated.

Phostenix web site for switching. I'd recommend using a 5 way and a switch pot or toggle switch to turn the neck on as well as its position on the 5 way. Then you can have those 6 combos and all 3 p/ups on as well. Since the N switch gives N/M you could have position 4 give either B+M or B+N series if you want.If you want Strat "Quack" put the new p/up where a Strat M is. If you are just looking for new sounds, I'd recommend the 8th harmonic for the M. Its a best of the N and B type tone. Strong fundamental, nice harmonics, clear w a strong signal. I use it on custom built 1 p/up guitars. Very versital.

Ooopps I reread the OP. You don't want the middle alone? If you don't like a Strat M, the 8th H placement sounds killer, not squirrelly. If you really don't want the M alone, a 5 way Super Switch can be used to give all your combos.

Do the regular Strat-o-tone wiring, and then get a push/pull (tone) pot and wire it to add the neck pickup to the volume pot. Then when you pull the knob up, you can have the n&b or all three at once !

@ Teleterr

I do want the mid alone. I really should have specified that to begin with.
Also, I want the strat sound with the mid pickup, so should I just put a strat pickguard over the Telecaster and use that as a template?

@ sjtalon

I though about the push/pull knob, but have only wired them to jazz basses for series/out of phase. I might still do that though.

Thanks for the help!

Well, then the Phostenix site should solve all your needs. I'm sure theres a diagram for Strat w universal tone or just what you re doing. just also hook up either the N or B to a switch pot or a toggle which fits in a Tele control strip easy and you got it. The Strat guard seems like a plan, just match the neck slot and rout.

Basically, you want a 7 tone strat, very easy to do with an extra switch. And I think phostenix has some things tailored to Nashville teles.
