I like Lawrence half-out-of-phase better than the series position

Wondering here if I am weird or something - but I really like the Bill Lawrence half-out-of-phase position better than the series position in my 5-way tele. Seems like most players rave about the series position, but I find it rather dark and not that exciting. On the other hand, the so-called half-out-of-phase position sounds really nice for funky rhythm and snappy single-note lines.
Anyone else liking the HOoP more than the series position?

I do. It has a Dobro kind of sound. Depends on pickups, I guess.
