Barden Danny Gatton T-Style
I have a 2008 Fender American Standard Telecaster
with stock pickups. I was thinking about changing the pickups to Barden Danny Gatton T-Style. I don't know much about the Barden pickups how do they compare to the stock Fender Pickups in my Telecaster. I'm playing 50's Rockabilly to 60's British Invasion to Surf to Folk Rock with a little CCR and Paul Revere and the Raiders thrown in |

Hi, I have two guitars with the Gatton Bardens in them.
In one ( Alder body w/ Maple Cap) I have the traditional Danny Gatton set. (orange w/bigsby) In the other ( an Ash Body) I have the Gatton Neck pickup and their "Modern-T" for the bridge. In the Ash body tele, I prefered the Modern-T (its a little less brite/biting) (the butterscotch tele) I truly like both sounds, I love honky-tonk country music wich lends toward the original Gattons (bright and twangy - but the Alder body tames it some). for more modern music, I would recommend the Gatton neck with the Modern-T bridge. Enjoy them , they are GREAT pickups. Jon |
