Angry, snarly, p-o'ed: Bridge humbucker (only!)

One of two builds I'm undertaking will be a Esquire/cabronita/tele-ish thing with just bridge humbucker. I want this guitar to have just a mean, angry snarl - roadhouse blues, hardcore outlaw country, just on the edge of being out of control.

So... Suggestions?

Full size humbucker or single coil size?

Full size is the route the body has - I'm not opposed to trying to cover the route with a ring (conceptually, this guitar can look kinda rough). But full size would be easiest.

Dave Plummer, aka Zhangligun, is one of my favorite pickup winders. Here is a link to his website. http://www.zhangbucker.com/humbuckers.html

Give him a shout and I guarantee he'll wind you what you want.

Sweet! You are welcome and I'm glad it worked out for you.

Please post your thoughts after installation. I have one of his hand wounds in the neck of my tele and it's a thing of beauty! I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Did you ever play a Duncan Custom V through a 5150? That's what you want!
