Dogear P90 question.
I think it's obvious but I thought I'd ask anyway: does the dogear cover actually attach to the pickup or does the pickup just rest over the route on the baseplate tabs and then the cover pushes the tabs down onto the surface of the guitar to secure it?
That must be the case, right? I can see no other way it could work. I've done a number of soapbar installs but I guess I've never done a dogear install before. I'm converting two soapbar P90's into dogears for a project where I'm replacing two mini-humbuckers. I've put the new dogear baseplates on and will probably begin routing soon so I thought I'd better clarify what exactly I'm doing here.

Thanks Pat. I know it was pretty obvious but there's been lots of times when things looked 'pretty obvious' to me and I wound up wishing I'd asked first. So I thought I'd better ask first.
